Useful Information
Reference Photos
Currently I work from reference photos to create portrait commissions. When looking for/taking a reference photo, it is important for the photo to be of good resolution (iPhone quality works well) this allows me to clearly see the colours and tones on the face. I am able to edit certain elements of the photo for the portrait e.g. Background colour or taking things out of the photo. However I would not recommend adding people or other elements from two different photos as this can look quite unnatural.
Postage
Postage is free for all UK based addresses! International addresses will have to pay for shipping (Sorry!) the shipping fee will vary depending on location. Each colour pencil commission will be shipped out within 3-5 business days. This is extended to 10-14 days for oil paintings to allow for the paint and varnish to dry. Because of this, we will discuss shipping costs and estimated delivery time once you have submitted your commission request.
Progress Photos & Social Media
I will film and take photos of the portrait as I go. Some customers enjoy when I keep them updated with progress photos and videos, they can keep an eye in how it is going and give feedback on things they like or would like to change. Other customers prefer to keep this a surprise, please let me know which you would prefer!
The progress photos and videos will also be shared to my socials, take a look at my TikTok and Instagram pages to see some examples! Please let me know if you would not like to have your commission shared to my socials.
Payment
All customers will make a deposit of 25% of the total price via Paypal. Once I have received the deposit, I will begin the portrait. When the portrait is complete, we can proceed with the payment of the remaining amount + shipping costs before shipping the portrait.

Commissions with three or more subjects are only available in sizes 8 x 10 inches or larger.

It takes 4-6 weeks to complete a portrait. Oil paintings will need an additional week or so to allow the paint and varnish to dry.
